Dale Gribble aka Rusty Shackleford, was a real quirky character. Based on both Hunter S. Thompson and William S. Burroughs, his particular blend of eccentricities made him stand out in the refreshingly subtle Texan comedy of King of the Hill. Conspiracy theorist. Exterminator. Smoker. Gun nut. Sometimes bounty hunter. And always entertaining in his especially paranoid, dim-witted, rude, and cowardly ways. Sure he didn’t know his son wasn’t his but he knew about “The Beast”.
